Thousand Foot Krutch graced our presence at the world famous Machine Shop in Flint, MI last Thursday. In support was a killer lineup that also featured Righteous Vendetta, Like A Storm and We As Human.

Gaining popularity with their current single "Take Over" (off the recently released EP "Defiance"), fellow Christian Rock/Metal band Righteous Vendetta kicked things off and definitely set the tone for the evening!

Like A Storm, no strangers to the Machine Shop, kept the crowd 'buzzing' with their signature didgeridoo opener "The End of the Beginning" and played a little slide guitar as an opener to their most recent single "Wish You Hell", which the crowd really responded to!

Feeding off the energy in the venue, We As Human followed suit displaying their musical talents and showing the crowd why their hit singles "Strike Back" and "Take the Bullets Away " (off of their Self Titled studio release) have spent several weeks on both Christian Rock and Mainstream Rock charts this year. Lead singer Justin Cordle has a commanding stage presence and really drew the crowd in!

The stage was set for Thousand Foot Krutch. (Literally & figuratively!) Trevor's signature 'spine' mic stand in place. Steve Augustine's custom Oxygen:Inhale kit sat perched up on noticeably higher drum riser than what is typical for the Machine Shop. Stage lights beaming upward.

Finally the lights go dim and the guys took the stage greeted by an eruptive cheer from the crowd as they busted right into "Give It To Me". The energy in the Shop was electric!

Now, I had seen TFK perform at various festivals over the years including the Aftershock Festival & Rock on the Range, but this was actually my first exclusive TFK show. I must say~ they guys delivered as I expected they would~ delivering a high energy, in your face rock show, all the while displaying their versitilty/multi-genre style. TFK kept the emotions on high all night by playing hits from "The End Is Where We Begin" & "Welcome to the Masquerade" while also seemlessly introducing new songs from their latest release Oxygen:Inhale into their setlist. "Give It To Me", "Untraveled Road" & "Like A Machine" were ones that stood out to me from the new album. The outstanding vocal performance and stage persona of Trevor McNevan was undeniable and "Let the Sparks Fly" was definitely the highlight of the evening... for me anyway.

For the three song encore, "Like A Machine" was quite appropriate as it described their performance thus far. Followed by two for TFK diehards, "Move" (2005's Art of Breaking") and finally "Fire it Up" from 2009's "Welcome To the Masquerade" and indeed they did just that leaving their fans 'fired up' and no doubt wanting more!

Another great night at The Machine Shop in the books.. If you have never seen Thousand Foot Krutch or any of the other bands mentioned on this lineup~ we at Full Metal Rock strongly suggest that you do!!
